HISTORY

Thirukadaiyur History

Devas and Asuras took nectar from Tirupalakadal. Vishnu tricked the demons and placed it in a casket. When the casket was opened again, the nectar was Shiva Lingam. Vishnu believed that this change was due to lack of Parvati Devi’s grace. He removed the tiruvaparanas worn on his chest and worshiped them as Goddess Parvati. Then Ambal appeared there with the name Abhirami and blessed me with amrita. Vishnu distributed the nectar to the gods.
